According to reliable sources Ms Ramzia Diab, a former nominated Member of Parliament, was on Tuesday arrested by officers of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).

She was said to have been sent to Mile Two Prisons. No official reason has since been given for Ms Diab’s arrest and detention.

It would be recalled that Ramzia Diab was arrested in the wake of the March 21st abortive coup and released 20th April 2006.

Ms Diab’s family members would not comment on the issue when contacted.
