meat is not a staple food of the gambia, we need the price of rice to go down before meat. how many gambians live on meat daily even if the price is 50 dalasis, very few and for rice, it is almost all of us. so we don't need meat now, we need rice and sugar.

The President has come up with a great idea. Someone must take a stance. People complain a lot about leaders' decisions. Now, let us all be in support of a change that even though the butchers are not too happy, will help the citizens in general who are struggling everyday. A lot of Gambians can't even afford meat. Maybe rice will be next. Let's stop being so selfish. This is Ramadan after all. Ramadan Mubarak everyone.
