According to reports monitored over GRTS, the president was accompanied by the Secretary-General and Head of the Civil Service, Secy and PS for Works, Construction and Infrastructure and Yusupha Dibba, PS PMO.

During the tour, President Jammeh observed the poor state of the infrastructure and furniture being used by staff.

The president also deplored the poor lighting system and the electrical works throughout the facilities.

At the Department of State for Lands and Religious Affairs, President Jammeh observed that the offices are well maintained and very clean. He pledged to give the Department’s staff D50, 000 in appreciation for their maintenance of the property. He also thanked Secy Ismaila Sambou for making him proud.

There we go again, lack of knowledge and confusion will never lead to success. Mr. president the staff do not need D50,000.00, what they need is a good leadership, salary review, good raods, working health care system, educatoin, security, and eventually improvement in the quality of their lives. I asure you that some of the staff you saw would not be sleepping thses days knowing the type of a leader you are. Your vist was a threat to the civil service.
