Jammeh leaves for Bissau![]() Wednesday, June 11, 2008 President Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh, accompanied by a high-powered delegation, left Banjul yesterday, for Guinea Bissau on a state visit. The president and his delegation were seen off at the Banjul International Airport by the vice-president, Aja Dr Isatou Njie-Saidy, secretaries of state, among other dinitaries. It could be recalled that President Jaoa Bernado Nino Viera paid a four-day state visit to The Gambia in April 18, this year.
