He said the hospital belongs to them and that they should participate in any event taking place there. He commended the two Alkalolu (Mamadou Baldeh and Amadou Deganda), who donated bulls for the exercise. </p><p>The NAM of the area, Hon Muhammadou M5 Jallow and Hon Sainey Mbye, NAM for Upper Saloum, said the hospital has a large catchment area and that environmental sanitation will reduce the potential breeding grounds for mosquitoes. They introduced new rules which are not part of the school rules and regulations,” our sources revealed.</p><p>Kaunding Tambedou, the chairman of the Board of Governors of Armitage SSS, advised the sacked teachers, during a meeting held at the governor’s residence in Janjangbureh, to keep the peace and respect the decision taken by the Board. </p><p>He further disclosed that after receiving the complains of the students, the Board established a task force which investigated the matter and submitted a report to the Board.  It was upon receiving that report that the Board took its decision. </p><p>He said six students would also be suspended by the Board for a period of one week. He added that if anyone of the suspended students is found to be on scholarship, he/she would have to forfeit the said scholarship. </p><p>He also revealed that some councillors have returned their badges to the school and that their resignation has been accepted by the Board.</p><p>The deputy governor of CRR, Lamin Darboe also spoke at length on the importance of discipline. He opined that no nation could attain its goals if it neglected agriculture, describing it as the backbone of our economy. </p><p>Governor Touray hailed President Jammeh for his clarion call for people to go back to the land, arguing that it was the only way Gambia can achieve food self sufficiency.</p><p>The National Assembly Member for Upper Fulladu, Muhammadou M5 Jallow, called on the people of Fulladou to learn from the actions of President Jammeh. </p><p>The NAM for Upper Saloum, Hon. The thieves were said to have stroked on Sunday night, October 26.<br /> <br /> ‘The solar panels were fixed at the village borehole which used to serve the women gardeners as well as cattle in the area,’ our sources revealed.<br /> <br /> This development, according to the source, has caused a great lose and damage to the residents of the village as they use the borehole for many domestic purposes. <br /> <br /> Meanwhile, sources also disclosed to the<span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;" > Daily Observer</span> that one Morr Jimbala, a native of Kataba Village in CRR, was arrested by the Police Intervention Unit (PIU), last week, reportedly in connection to the solar panel theft case. ‘He was interrogated at the PIU Barracks and later transferred to Bansang Police Station, where he is still under detention,’ our source further revealed.<br /> <br /> In an interview with the<span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;" > Daily Observer</span>, Musa Samura, the Ward Councillor for the area, said the borehole was funded by department of Livestock Services. During the visit, the team visited the Ferdousey Health Post, Wassu theatre group and Sinchu Ngarba milling machine. </p><p>During a meeting in Janjanbureh shortly after the visit, Alhagie Ganyi Touray, the governor of Central River Region spoke at length on the importance of the joint monitoring visits as it will help officials get first hand information on the achievements, constraints, challenges and way forward in the implementation of population related projects in the region. </p><p>He said the Population Task Force Members (PTF) is essential link between the national structure and the grassroots in the process of policy implementation.</p><p>Ebou Jallow, the deputy director of the National Population Commission Secretariat (NPCS) pointed out that the PTF play a vital role at the regional level as they are to coordinate and facilitate all population activities within their respective areas. </p><p>He further noted that the purpose of their visits is part of their annual activities to visit the population related projects in the region and to find out their achievements, challenges and map out a way forward.
