The quarter finals of the Upper Nuimi District tournamentwill kick off today, Friday February 15th 2008, between Kerr Mama and Kerr Chebou Matty at the Kerr Alpha football field.

However, Kerr Mama sailed through to the quarter- finals after topping group B with 12 points while their quarter final opponents Kerr Chebou Matty are also group D winners.

Other quarter finalists include Prince FC, Kahel, Lamin, Decodeh, Fass Omar Saho and Toubakolong football teams.

The tournament, solely sponsored by Honorable Cherno Omar Jallow the National Assembly Member for the area, featured 21 teams from surrounding villages..

Organised by the Upper Nuimi Sports Committee, all matches will be played during the weekend.

The tournament winner will go home with a giant trophy and cash prize of D7, 000 while the runners-up will receive D4, 000 with a trophy.
