A Successful Weekend for Gambian Internationals

Two Gambian internationals Ebrahima Sawaneh and Mustapha Jarjue, plying their trade in the Belgian second division league, had a successful weekend after both players registered victory over the weekend with their clubs.

Ebrahima Sawaneh and KS K Beveren defeated Verbroedering Geel 2-1 on Saturday.

KS K Beveren are currently 4th in the Belgian second division Jupiter league with 44 points, eight points behind leaders KV Kortruk.

 Gambian international Mustapha Jarju also playing at the same level with Lierse on Saturday evening won 1-0 away to KVSK United, bringing to an end the Limburgers run of 7 consecutive wins.

Jarju made numerous affords to score but could not find the net.  Saturday’s victory has increased Lierse points to 37 and they are currently in eighth position.

Lierse will now meet KVK Tienen on Saturday.
