Cheating butcher fined

Sorry Bailo Bah, a butcher at the Serekunda Market, was yesterday fined D5,000 in default to serve a three-month imprisonment term by Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbake of the Kanifing Magistrates Court. Sorry Bailo pleaded guilty to the charge of cheating. He is said to have sold a half kilo of meat at D50 instead of the stipulated price of D40.  The offense was said have been committed last month at the Serekunda Market.

Four butchers were recently arraigned before Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbacke of the Kanifing Magistrates Court, charged with cheating.
