The suspects are Amadou Bailo Camara, Mankamang Sanneh, Mamadi Darboe both civilians, and Sergeant Bala Musa Saidy and Sergeant Modou Lamin Bah Military Police Officers. According to the trial Judge, Justice Joseph Wowo since there was no court interpreter, the court would remand the accused persons until the next adjourned date when their plea would be taken. The remand order by Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Brikama Magistrates Court, came following information reaching the court that Mr Sowe, one of the accused persons in the fake gold dust case, has jumped bail. According to the prosecution, the accused on August 10, 2008, at Tallinding Nema Kunda, took a 15-year old girl (name withheld) to a brothel and forced her to perform indecent acts. The accused requested to be granted bail but this was objected to by the prosecutor on the grounds that the charge preferred against the accused is a serious one.
